Biosite Incorporated Summer Internship Program

Biosite Incorporated offers an internship program that provides an exciting educational opportunity for those exploring a career in the biotech/life sciences industry. We seek students who are interested in building a relationship with Biosite through joining our efforts in this commitment. Each student is presented an opportunity to explore career possibilities and gain valuable experience through challenging projects and a dedicated mentor. We provide an open, friendly environment where creativity and fresh perspectives are welcomed. Our state of the art campus offers a full array of activities including: a full gym, cafeteria, soccer field, basketball court, two beach volleyball courts, and on-site coffee cart for your enjoyment.

The Internship Process

Our internship program typically runs between 10 and 12 weeks, beginning in May or June and ending in August or September. The internship may continue throughout the school year depending on student availability and business demands. General Requirements/Information:

  • Students must be currently enrolled in a Bachelors/Masters degree program at an accredited college or university.
  • Students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree must be in sophomore, junior, or senior class standing to participate in the internship program. Preference is given to Junior class standing. Graduate students pursuing advanced degrees may also be considered based on the hiring department’s needs. Hiring managers may adjust these standing requirements to meet their department needs.
  • Laboratory interns must be at least 18 years of age. All other non-science interns must be at least 16 years of age and have a valid workers’ permit.
  • Those individuals seeking laboratory internships must have completed either basic or advanced science courses and must have experience in laboratory practices.
  • Each candidate must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the United States under the laws of the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
