The Triage^® BNP Test for Beckman Coulter^® Immunoassay Systems

Biosite^® Incorporated has broadened its BNP product line to include the Triage^® BNP Test for Beckman Coulter Immunoassay Systems*. This new product provides healthcare customers with a choice of state-of–the-art platforms, while ensuring standardization of values. This means customers can enjoy the benefits of rapid testing and automation.

THE NEED FOR BNP TESTING

Through clinical evaluation data, a large publications base, and proven clinical performance, BNP has been identified as the marker of choice:
• as an aid in the diagnosis of CHF
• as an aid in the assessment of severity of CHF
• for the risk stratification of patients with ACS
• for the risk stratification of patients with HF
All Biosite BNP tests have received FDA clearance for these indications.

THE BECKMAN COULTER IMMUNOASSAY SYSTEMS

The Triage^® BNP Test for Beckman Coulter Immunoassay Systems is now available to customers in Europe and the United States. Designed to provide results that are standardized to match Biosite’s existing Triage BNP Test, the newest BNP test is available for use on Beckman Coulter systems including: Access^® 2 immunoassay systems, SYNCHRON LX^®i 725 combination chemistry and immunoassay workstation, and the new highthroughput UniCel DxI 800 Access immunoassay. Beckman Coulter manufactures the test for Biosite.

THE PATIENT BENEFIT

Now, as a patient moves throughout medical systems, from emergency departments to inpatient acute care facilities, to heart failure centers, to physician offices; laboratories using the Triage BNP Test can provide physicians with rapid and routine testing flexibility. This ensures standardized BNP test result values across the spectrum of systems.
