The Triage® Parasite Panel
The Triage® Parasite Panel is an enzyme immunoassay used for the detection of antigens specific for Giardia lamblia, Entamoeba histolytica/dispar, and Cryptosporidium parvum in fresh or freshly frozen, unfixed human fecal specimens. This test is used as an aid in the diagnosis of intestinal parasitic disease and is part of the Triage Microbiology product line, designed to help speed the diagnosis of diarrheal diseases.
Three Discrete Results
The only panel with simultaneous, rapid results for each of three parasites: G. lamblia,
E. histolytical/E. dispar, and C. parvum.
Improved Workflow
- Testing for G. lamblia, E. histolytical/E. dispar, and C. parvum now requires no staining or microscopy
- No specialized training or certification needed to perform or interpret
- Helps avoid unnecessary O&P exams by screening for three common parasites
Easy To Use
- Saves time and effort
- Simple visual interpretation
Fast
- 15-minute turnaround time
- Rapid information to aid in diagnosis
Built-in Controls
- Both positive and negative controls included
- No need to test separate daily controls
No Trade-offs
- Doesn’t compromise accuracy for speed
- Test is fast and definitive
Accurate Results For three Common Parasites
- Overall negative predictive value ≈ 98 percent
- Sensitivity for all three tests is statistically equivalent to commercially available immunoassays
- Specificity for G. lamblia, E. histolytical/E. dispar, and C. parvum is equal to or better than other commercially available immunoassays
